Lupe Talks About "The Cool"
Honestly, I find Lupe Fiasco to be one of the most intelligent rappers around. The depth of his lyrics are by far the most deep that I have encountered. They explain abstract concepts like Death, The Cool, the Streets, The Game, and Hip Hop, and turn them into concrete physical attributes. In this clip I got with Lupe doing an interview with this guy from PBS, he tells us the meaning behind his last album The Cool. I honestly can't wait for LASERS.....AND AGAIN LETS GET LASERS PLATINUM!
This Blog, This Movement
This blog, and this movement, is about one sole objective: Getting Lupe's next album to platinum status. This idea came about as me and my friend, the other writer on this blog, were talking about buying Lupe's next album. My friend said, "I want that shit to go plat." I immediately was thinking, we both know that isn't gonna happen when I jokingly said to my friend, "We should make this next album go platinum."
Thus, the idea was born, how could two guys with the internet make an album go platinum? I'm sure everyone, at least the visitors to this blog, have downloaded the first two albums, both of which were classics in my opinion. But how many Lupe fans actually bought the first two albums? I'll be honest, I bought Food & Liquor, but I never got around to buying The Cool, which I guess I'm kind of ashamed about.
So let's get the ball rolling. We the authors will promise to update this blog with latest the tracks and info, and you, the readership, Lupe's fans, promise to cop the new album. Let's get united, remember that together we are strong, and lets make this shit go PLATINUM!
